Hi guys, new to the forum.. I recently bought a cheap L555 deluxe that had been parked for a couple of years. Supposed to have run fine when they parked it. I ended up rebuilding the injection pump on the v1902 kubota and got the engine to run like a top, then I had to add 7 gallon hydro fluid and it drive around good, but my boom isn't working . On the L555's.if you drained the hydraulic system and refilled it, they would do exactly as you described. The trick is to fill the system with the cap off of the suction screen (I would actually fill the system through there because you can pour oil in faster). Slow bucket and boom plus noise on left side drive. Sounds like a plugged screen but screen is clean. Oil is full. I was working about 2 hrs when this started. It made noise when I backed up left side while forward on right stick. Then slow up .
I have an L-555 loader with 3100 hrs on it. It had 2900 hrs. when I bought it from a dealer. A short time later the hydraulic charge light would come on and stay on for a few seconds. As time passed and I used the loader more I began to notice the hydraulic charge light would come on after I had. Remove the hoses from the hydraulic pump at the front. Remvoe the two bolts holding the hydraulic pump to the hydrostat pumps. Remove the hydraulic pump and see if the shaft going into the hydraulic pump is broken, If not broken then crank the engine while watching the front of the hydrostat pump where the shaft from the hydraulic pump goes. Good morning I bought a nh l555 without an engine in it but it came with a good used running engine Engine out of machine had already been discarded if but was a 1903 and the engine it came with is a 2204 which had the adapter and flywheel switched over already When I put the engine in. My question is about hydraulic fluid, does anyone have a preference as to what type I should get? I am sure the manual will point me to an obsolete type. Does anyone know roughly how much to buy? I just bought a L555 that has been neglected somewhat and I want to catch her up. I ordered a service manual. Never owned a skid before so I am a newbie.. New Holland Skidsteer Forum . My bother has a new holland L555 we have flushed the hydraulic system 2 times because when he bought it, it had water in the oil. We used john deere hydraulic oil. It has somewhere between 2000 to 3000 hours. Everything works good execpt when you go up and down large hills the the low oil light. Hi guys, new to the forum..
