Boom arms are binding at pivots - lubricate linkage. Bucket tilt valve spool is not returning to center position - binding. Auxiliary hydraulic handle locked in detent position - return handle to neutral. Mine eventually would lock the boom but leave the tilt working for a while. Lockout solenoid unlocks when 12v is supplied. My boom solenoid was bad and pulling the lockout circuit down to 2.5V.
Check your port lock solenoid. Make sure it has good voltage and ground. Check the resistance. If all that is good the valve inside the solenoid may be stuck. The E Series has an in-cab boom lock. Located behind and above the right shoulder of the operator, the red lever deploys a steel cylinder outward, much like a deadbolt.
