broken skid steer This is a John Deere 90 skid steer. Fairly small, weighs about 3500 lbs, 23 horse engine, built in the 1980's. It's sitting in a valley about 300 yards from my house/workshop. Engine won't start. No compression in one cylinder. I changed the valve seat in that cylinder about 10 running hours ago, but it didn't last.

Is there a "best" place on the east coast to buy broken skid steers (prefer Case or JD)? I am looking for a fixer upper, something that probably needs an engine rebuilt and the like.

Using a heat gun I melted the ice and drained the chain-case. Found and removed the broken chain. It had broken across 4 sequential links. I rotated the front-right wheel while examining the teeth of its driven sprocket (33). The teeth looked good. It helped to put a 4x8 sheet of plywood behind it to use as a smooth workspace and to stay out of the mud/grass. Hello, I have a 2015 CAT 259D and need to remove the front door and bypass the door latch switch in order to run a backhoe attachment. Is there a wiring harness plug or something needed to do this (and reverse the process when I reinstall the door)? Then adjust the tension as needed according to the manual.
I've got a 240 skid steer that has an issue with the parking break turn on the dealership told me it is controlled by seat belt switch and that has been replaced and did not fix the problem it will go fine for a while then the parking break will pop on
