If you are on dirt, especially soft dirt, the airless tires are nowhere near as good as regular air-filled. Browse new and used Excavators for sale with Fastline's database. Foam filled tires are filled with liquid rubber that cures to form a solid rubber tire that is very heavy. It is expensive and is not a do it yourself job. I would not foam fill a half worn out tire only new. If you are on dirt, especially soft dirt, the airless tires are nowhere near as good as regular air-filled. We have Filled tires on our skid-steer. They work great, have a couple with major holes punched through the tread, but not flat. One concern for you may be the added weight. I have seen "Flat Proof" tires for skid-steers advertised. I think that would be a better alternative compared to a heavy foam tire.
Anybody out there fill skid steer tires with foam. I'm tired of flats on that thing, and it is a major undertaking to pop those things back on the rim. Does anybody have experience with this, does it work, and what would be the cost?

My current tire is a 12-16.5 savage deep tred tire that's good for traction in ice snow and mud. Problem is the sidewalls leak and do have 2 that also won't hold a patch in the center of the tire. I guess looking for opinions. Do I foam fill these? they have a ton of tread left. I do cut trees with this and so I need a puncture resistant tire. Take them to a tire shop and have them filled. Pay the bill and don't hurt your back moving them afterwards. Foam is sold by the pound. I think +/- 1.50 a lbs. Also once you fill a tire, when it comes to replacement, one of three options. Cut old tire off, buy new rim and tire, swap wheels with a recap program.
Foam fill will solve your flat problem! They’re also heavy which might be good too. But they will ride ROUGH! It’s also expensive. About like buying new tires when I had some smaller ones done for a bush cutter. You might want to . We have 10 inch spacing and the rocks in our field are just the perfect size to get stuck between the tires and really tear up the rim and rubber. Tire and rim are not cheap as well as the major down time to fix them.
ANYHOW, called a couple large tire shops about filling skid steer tires with hardening foam fill. You know, the HEAVY stuff. One wants 0/tire and second one wants 0/tire.
