I gave him a 7.5' conventional mount fisher, he boxed the ends, cut the mounting ears off, welded on a universal skid steer attachment plate. We doubled the center pivot point, be basically copied the original a frame by adding a second one about 12" higher. For some reason skid steers aren't great at pushing snow, I haven't figured out why yet. Even when my tires were new, the traction on the machine was less than my truck, yet the weights are about the same and the skid steer has full time four wheel drive. My truck goes much better in the snow, with the skid steer you must use momentum to keep .

The driveways are short, steep and have a tight raduis. I'm thinking that snowblowers are gonna be the way to handle them. You could fit a skid steer in there, but would spend lots of time stacking the snow. We average 250" a winter, and not much melting between storms. A big 24 hour storm would be about 36" or so. we got 8 feet in 4 days last . AMEN to that. I have only run skid steers a few times, and I was VERY slow, because I was being cautious. I hated every second using the foot controls. It is very hard IMO going from running an excavator, or backhoe, to a skid steer. I had a little bucking incident on one while packing down a dumpster.
