We have been demoing a Terex PT 60 track skid steer. I really like it's balance and power for the size it is. The operator station is plenty small. My two main complaints are that the engine needs to have the glow plugs cycled to start.even when in a 60 degree shop. Salesman says that's just how Perkins engines in these skids are.

Looks like ASV makes the highest HP machine on the market, and I'm seeing some very low hour machines for around 30,000.00. I'd like to hear from you who have experience with the PT series, especially the PT 100.
The ASV's look like nice machines and supposedly are the smoothest ride, but I'm told that their undercarriages are their weakpoint. Have a look at the ASV, LLC web site here: http://asvllc.com/ Unlike some competing brands, ASV’s CTL models also use a different chassis than their skid steer brothers. The reason for that, explains Storlie, is it allows for a more stable design and improves ground clearance at the same time.
I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with the new 2015/2016 ASV skid loaders or track loaders and which diesel you have. Perkins, Deutz or Cummins...seems like they use a few. Do the machines compare to top end machines? Also if you have a 2015/2015 Terex...or a Takeuchi wheeled skid loader...which are made for Terex & Takeuchi by .
The Terex PT-50 is meant to be a mid-size tracked skid loader but that's where the comparison to other skilled loaders ends. So the first thing you're going to notice when you crawl into the cab of a Terex PT-50 is the power (or the lack there of). The ASV undercarriage is an expensive can of worms in comparison to the much more traditional type on the Kubota (or Cat, NH, Gehl, Case, JD, Bobcat, Wacker, Komatsu or Tak). They do ride nice, but at a big price with the complexity and sheer amount of parts that will need to be replaced.
