It did not come with an owners manual so I cannot reference that. I've heard people use 303 hydraulic fluid or atf or motor oil. Anyone have any experience with any of these .

Apparently that oil is obsolete, so I need to know what the new version is called. I bought a 2007 4840 , parked it this winter and the drive control arm seem to work real hard, checked the dipstick at the back of the machine and nothing on it, its only goes dn the neck about 2 inchs, anyway what type and brand of fluid should I use, I did not get a manual and of course its a weekend so dealer is closed, I did see some specs . The service manual I have as well as the Owners manual I downloaded call for 10w30 diesel engine oil for the hydraulic system (10 gal). This sounds strange to me. I would pay more for something else if would be better for it, but that's pretty much what you want.
