I'm thinking about getting a mustang 2032 skid loader, is the mustand brand any good? do they have more/less problems then gehl or bobcat or john deere etc? I just got done looking around, it seems that the mustang 2109 and Gehl 7810are pretty much the same machine with similar reliability issues. Sounds like there is always something small breaking on them.
As with most internet searches for equipment reviews, you typically only find those folks with bad experiences and looking to vent. As someone looking to add a skid steer on a modest budget to the farm, I've found several Mustang's in my price range but I'm leary based on lack of positive reviews. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the quality and longevity or mustang skid steers. The one i am looking at has an owner that doesn't know the model but it is a early eighties model and is yellow with a four cylinder gas engine. I am in the market for an inexpensive skid steer, my old new holland just isn't cutting it anymore. I wish I never sold my 763 but anyways, what do you guys think of the mustangs? I was also looking at a 1300 hd scat trak. How is it to use with the T handle control on the mustang. I ran across a Mustang 940 skid steer with low hours. Just wondering if people have experience operating these skids? What controls are used on these machines? Are parts readily available? I have attached a picture of the one Im looking at. Thanks for your input.
