I have a Cat 236 that won't turn over. Battery tested ok, cables and contacts are all good and the starter tests ok when jumped across the solenoid. The wire from the keyswitch to the starter will not energize when the switch is turned, so it seems that the keyswitch must be bad OR is there a relay between the keyswitch and the starter?

When you look above the starter ( LH side of the diagram) you will see a start relay and a fuel relay. They are both the same. If the wiring looks good, Swap relays for test purposes to see if the engine will crank over. Ran jumper wire from green wire to power relay A to green wire on power relay B and now all the lights come on and all my fuses have power. So now, machine starts and lights on console operate properly.
